Just for you Mom & Sis

So Friday I turned 35 years old which officially makes you old or other wise known as High Risk at the OBGYN clinic. We didn't take any pictures Friday and my Mom & Sister both being in Utah wanted to know how big my baby bump was getting these days and so Calvin snapped a couple of pictures for them today. So this is me when I outline the baby bump and you can tell I'm prego. :o) And this is without outlining the baby bump. :o) So far I can still fool those around me who don't know I'm expecting it just looks like I have a little bit of a gut I guess. It really depends on the clothes I wear too because sometimes I feel like I totally look big pregnant and other times no one can tell. Yes I'm wear maternity jeans cuz none of mine fit! After looking at pregnancy pictures tonight of me with Kenna and Calvin I'll be huge before you know it I forgot how big I get! :o) Because I've been so sick I've only gained 2 lbs so far but that's a whole pound more than 1 week ago. I'm little over 15 weeks pregnant almost 4 months along so the pounds will be packing on shortly but I love chubby babies so it's all good and after 2 c-sections always c-section so size doesn't matter. :o)
Taken today after church Aug. 23, 2009. We will find out the sex of the baby after my next Dr.'s appointment on 9/2/09 and we can't wait. I think it's a girl because of how sick I've been but we'd gladly take a boy.
ANY GUESSES????

1st Day of School 8-10-2009

I'm such a goof I forgot to take pictures of McKenna and Calvin the first day of school after they were dressed and looking cute.
Will took these pictures as he was trying to wake them up. :o) It was a bit difficult because so tired from the night before. We had gotten home at approximately 10pm from our Family Reunion in the White Mountains in northern Arizona so we were all dragging on Monday.
Gotta love all the different bedding on Calvin's bed. :o) He changes it up from time to time but does have matching I promise. :o) They both had a great 1st day and ended up having a great first week. They love their teachers and are excited to see all of their buddies again at school.

Quick update

I've been terrible at blogging lately but finally updated it a little tonight after Enrichment night at the church. It was so fun! I took some pics so I'll be posting them this weekend sometime.

Calvin is in 2nd grade but in a 2nd 3rd grade combo class which he is loving. He started piano lessons back up again this week and hasn't decided which sport he wants to do yet. He for sure wants to do a hip hop dance class...not sure why because he can hip hop dance like no other 7 year old I've ever seen. He amazed everyone at Will's brother's wedding reception last Friday night where he tore it up solo on the floor to "Tonight's gonna be a good night" by the Black Eyed Peas I think. It was so cute! All sorts of people came and asked me where he learned how to dance and if he takes lessons...he's been dancing since he was a baby and no lessons ever. HE LOVES MUSIC and is an excellent singer and has great rhythm.

McKenna is now in 6th grade! I can't believe it but she is! She is 5 feet 2 inches tall also so nice and tall for an 11 year old who wants to play volleyball, basketball and softball this year. She is in 4H again and loves it! She wants to do sewing again, cake decorating, ceramics and horse. She loves her new school Pathway Prep Academy and is doing very well. She cracked us up at the reception also because she was trying every new line dance they had which were a lot. She did great and didn't let her shyness hold her back she definitely has some stamina! Her Uncles danced with her since her Daddy went home sick. She is such a pretty girl and so helpful lately around the house....I don't know how I got so blessed to have her! I love that she knows what she wants and has the determination to succeed.

Will is doing pretty good. He's always busy which is extremely good considering these economic times with real estate. His arm/wrist has healed up visually pretty well and although he doesn't complain he finally admitted that it still hurts most of the day. He still doesn't have full mobility and doctors can't say whether or not he'll get more mobility and use out of it or not in the future just yet. He had to leave Toma's wedding last Friday night early because he wasn't feeling well thought it was bad fish he had eaten for lunch but it turned out to be kidney stones. Poor guy has had them often the past 6 years. He is still very active with Scouts and the young men for his calling in church and is so gung ho about doing genealogy on the new LDS website. He's an awesome Daddy always taking every opportunity to play with the kids and love on them. I couldn't have asked for a better guy! Our truck broke down on the way up to the reunion and so it's been in the shop ever since in Springerville about 5 hours away. We'll be going to get it this Saturday and Will is excited to drive a truck again.

As for me...well I'm 15 weeks pregnant now and just starting to feel the tiny movements of the baby for the past 2 days! It's so awesome! My doctor's appointment was delayed until 9/2 and so I won't get the ultrasound to determine the baby's sex until about a week after that. boo I am anxious to know if it is a boy or a girl. :O) Work has gone down to 8-9 hours a day instead of the crazy 11 or 12 hours and I'm beginning to do more of my new position and phase out of payroll. We moved into our new school district office about 2 weeks ago and are loving the beautiful new building. I backed into a metal pole this week and put a big dent in my bumper and cracked my tail light so that was a huge bummer. I didn't even see it after I hit it...had to get out and it was huge! I have no idea how I missed it right in the corner blind spot...man I felt dumb and probably embarrassed Kenna to death as it was at her school. I started to cry a little and she put her arm on my leg and said it was just an accident Mom, it's ok, Dad won't be mad at you. She's a sweetie. Other than that Life is Great! Feeling better these days not so sick and not quite as tired. I have tons of pictures from the past couple of months I just need some extra time to blog them. :o)

Family Reunion Here We Come!

We are heading up north to Big Lake for the Hathcock Family Reunion this afternoon and are so excited to see all of my family! My Mom is bringing my niece Adia because Brandy can't make it dang it but we are looking forward to seeing all of our cousins, aunts, uncles and my Granny! Should be a great time especially since Will's buddy is letting us barrow his beautiful toy hauler pictured below so no blow up air mattresses for us and a tent. :o) Spoiled I am! Will says this is his next purchase a toy hauler that sleeps 8-10 people comfortably.

I certainly hope to see lots of family this weekend! Last time some of the parents forgot to tell their children so we were missing a few cousins.

4D picture of Baby on the way

I had a request for this picture to be put on my blog....it's kind of hard to see where the baby is or at least it was for me but the baby is upside down in this picture in the very center of the picture. This was taken on 7/7/09 so 20 days ago so the baby was only about an inch to 1.5 inches long.

Garden Harvest...

For months this is what a typical harvest was for us from our community garden lots of cucumbers, zucchini and squash. We went again the other night and this is all that we got...
Rotten, never grew onions, carrots and pumpkins. Our watermelons didn't grow and all of our tomatoes and peppers died early on. We had one harvest of corn on the cob but that is all dead now too. It's a shame because what happened is that a lot of people in the community garden never pulled their weeds or harvested their crops so the irrigation water didn't reach a lot of us gardens further down the line thus ours all died.
You can see the actual size of this carrot next to my finger. At least we did harvest something and next year we'll have our own garden in our back yard. :o) Great experience over all and taught the kids some great garden work ethics. :o) Thanks to the farmer that let our entire community utilize his land and watered it for us.

Our Trip to Sedona back on June 19th

Driving into the town of Sedona, AZ the views are breath taking in my opinion.

So back in June we had a weekend get-a-way in Sedona thanks to our wonderful friends the Amador's who not only offered us the use of their timeshare but also offered to babysit our children for the weekend. What amazing friends they are!!! We haven't left the kids over night in 6 and a half years and that was for my class reunion where they stayed with my Mom. :o)

This is the light to turn to the resort where we stayed at. Look at these beautiful mountains.

See where the resort condos looked out to pretty views every direction.

This was our actual condo equipped with a kitchen, living room, large balcony, master suite with a huge jacuzzi tub, table and chairs dining area, a second bathroom, laundry room and then a second bedroom with 2 queen beds. It was very nice and relaxing.

Although Will had to bring his lap top and continue working mostly Saturday we still enjoyed two great date nights out on the town of Sedona and the most romantic dinner ever Friday night. We went to an Italian restaurant and luckily for us they thought we were honeymooners and seated us in a really awesome location without reservations. They had rose petals all over the table, candle light, soft music, very private area we could have even closed the curtain area for more privacy, the restaurant was neat old world Italian decorating with wonderful paintings light just right, great service and the food was excellent!! We felt a bit under dressed but were treated like royalty. I wished I would have brought the camera because I would like to remember that dinner for the rest of my life.

Although I didn't take any pictures of the sunset it was gorgeous! (not sure who these 2 guys are but I liked the background Mountain)

I thought actually Saturday that I was coming down with a cold or something because I didn't feel well and was extremely tired. I had a dry throat and headache too so this added to my thoughts that I was coming down with a cold or something. I totally took advantage of the relaxing weekend and took a nap while Will worked and watched a lot of "Deadliest Catch" a show about crab fishing boats in Alaska. We ended going out to eat a nice steak dinner Saturday night but I was feeling a bit worse than I did Friday night and it wasn't as romantic but still very good.
We called the kids a few times but they were having a blast. It was so funny because before we dropped them off Friday morning I was telling the kids to listen and not to fight or make a mess etc at Kathy & Tomas' house and Calvin tells, "Oh don't worry Mom we will be on our best behavior because Kathy's not afraid to put the Pow Pow on the Pow!" He truly believed that Kathy would put the smack down on his behind if he got out of line. I know she wouldn't because they adore the kids but she would make them mind. :o)

Kathy & Tomas Amador

Friday night the Amador's had the Barker's over pictured above. Calvin & their oldest son William are great buddies. Saturday morning there was a church water activity with water slides and balloons etc. Then the Amador's took them to Amazing Jakes for the evening for pizza and rides, laser tag, bowling, rock climbing, go karts and all sorts of fun there. Sunday was stake conference so it wasn't the normal 8am church start time or they might not have made it on time. :o)

I had no idea that I was actually 6 weeks pregnant at that time. It's funny now because my Dr. Pepper didn't taste good, I only took one bite of my candy bar, didn't want dessert at either of the two great restaurants we ate at (not like me at all), was extremely tired, gagged every time I brushed my teeth and the list goes on. I've thought I was pregnant so many times that it honestly didn't cross my mind this time because it's always a heartache when I'm not year after year. I chalked it up to over working, not sleeping enough and just being run down. :o) I'm so glad it wasn't a cold or virus and I'm still waiting for the tiredness, nausea and gagging to stop. Thank you Heavenly Father and thanks to Amador's who let us have a great time with peace of mind that our kids were in good hands.
