And the Results ARE............
Today Will and I headed into Chandler to get my level 2 ultrasound done and just to make sure that we would be able to tell the baby's gender I had some Mexican food and some Dr. Pepper! Baby was flipping around and very active so obviously caffeine works so does chocolate combined with caffeine. :o) Unfortunately I felt sick from the sugar in the soda afterwards but at least the baby wasn't sleeping. :o)
Kind of a blurry side view but you can see the outline of the profile and the arm again right by the little face.
This one was a print out that the doctor did after the technician had completed the ultrasound so I have a printed out black and white copy that I tried to take a picture of seen above which isn't nearly as good as the picture is in person. It did scare us for a minute when we had to wait for 25 minutes for the doctor to come in and talk to us and then explain the echogenic intacardiac foci what I described above the speck the size of a piece of sand in the heart and then say, "well the baby is perfect in every other way and so this will have no effect and is 99% healthy". Isn't she pretty!!!! 80% of you were right in your guess to a girl! Sorry for you all that guessed/wanted a boy. Maybe if we are blessed again it will be a boy next time?? McKenna is so very excited and Calvin is more excited than we expected him to be. I asked him this morning if he would be disappointed if we come home and tell him he is going to have a baby sister and he says, "no I'll just be happy to be a big brother....pauses and then says Mom will get to bring the baby home today?" I explained no that we would just get to know if it was a boy or a girl and if it was healthy or not. He says, "well how long before we get to bring her home? so I say well not until Feb so after Christmas and after New Years...he says "wow that's a long time to wait to bring a baby home from the hospital!". Kids are so funny. :o) Due date stayed the same Valentines day but my doctor says we will have the c-section during the 39th week so that means I'm half way done! :o) McKenna hasn't stopped talking about how excited she is to have a baby sister. She hopes she looks and acts just like her but maybe a little better in her words...so cute. Calvin kissed and hugged me for bed and then kissed and hugged my belly and said I love you little sister. McKenna just patted my tummy and said I love you little sister and I can't wait to hold you. We are thrilled five long years past and we can't wait to start all over again....now if we could just agree on my favorite name I mean a name. :o)

Private Blogs and I'm not Invited???
Well today I was up early because I'm not sleeping well but that is to be expected during pregnancy so I'll just leave it at that. McKenna stayed the night at Sierra's house and Calvin & Will went dove hunting early this morning so I thought..."Oh this is a perfect time to view blogs and catch up!". Much to my dismay many of you my friends have gone private and I'm unable to view your blog. I would like to think it's because you sent it to my old email address and the email didn't come through to it but in the back of my mind I'm thinking....I was such a terrible blogger friend not viewing often enough or commenting enough that I simply wasn't invited to their new private blog. Shame on me dang it! So don't be surprised when I email you asking you if you could please invite me to your blog. :o)

Kenna's 1st Volleyball Game
So yesterday 8/31/09 was McKenna's first ever volleyball game. She's really been practicing hard and because her school is new and hasn't built it's permanent facility yet they are in trailers..they do not have a gym so they have to practice outside in the blazing heat 4 days a week from 3 -5pm. I honestly thought she might want to quit because practicing for that long outside when it's 112 degrees outside just isn't fun for anyone...but not only has she not quit but she hasn't complained at all about it! We are so impressed with her desire to continue on and improve her game. When they have games they use Desert Wind Middle School's gym and so yesterday was the first time they ever played inside on a gym court. Her team is the Pathway Pumas! Yesterday she scored the first point for her team!

Kenna just after she served the first point!
Her ponytail had fallen out
They called a timeout and she fixed the ponytail
she is standing to the very right but this is jv & varsity girls all together
Let's Go Pumas! they shouted
McKenna making sure she was in the right position
Oh yeah baby we won the 2nd game now we're going to three
And here it is the winning score...Pumas beat the Lions 15 to 8 in the 3rd game winning 2 out of 3 games and take the victory on their first ever official game! We were so proud! Kenna although she's on the JV team played the entire time and was never rotated out. Way to go Kenna Benna! No matter win or lose we were sure proud of you and winning was just icing on the cake. Love you sweetie pie!
