A girls hair....what is your opinion?

21 inches long....
McKenna's hair is super thick and has such a pretty natural color with some natural waves in the back mostly. We keep her hair braided a lot for school and because it is easier to manage since it has gotten so long and summer is heating up. She is trying to decide if she is going to just trim it or cut enough to donate it for little girls with cancer. Her Daddy loves it long and doesn't want her to cut the 10 inches required to donate...I donated my hair before I started coloring it and it was a great feeling so I have encouraged her but I have to admit her hair is beautiful.

So should we trim it and keep it long or should we donate it? Hair cut suggestions are appreciated! Keep in mind it's thick and a bit curly mostly in the back straight on the sides. Also, this is braided when it's not braided her hair is about 5 inches longer! So seriously even if 12 inches were cut she would still have at least shoulder length or just past her shoulders. :o) We measured it....it's 21 inches long from the crown of her head to the bottom!

It's SO hard to cut but remember how fast hair grows back. She'll feel so sassy and cute with a short little bob or a-line cut for summer! She can grow it back out and it will come in even more healthy! Plus, the easy part of cutting it is knowing that it goes to help a sick little girl get a full head of hair. I say, "Go For It!" She'd look darling no matter what. I know how hard it is to cut!

During each of my pregnancies I have not cut my hair and then donated it to Locks of Love after each child was born. I guess it is sort of my way of showing how grateful I am to have had a healthy child. I feel so great each time I have done that. I say go for it. It's too darn hot for sooo much hair in the summer, and it'll grow back faster than you think! Plus a new do is always fun!

I say donte it and get the cute A line cut too! (I would do the same but my hair is too curly for a cute short haircut.)

McKenna looked really cute with shorter hair before. I say cut it...it will always grow back! Plus, she'll have a great experience from donating it for such a good cause!

Yikes, I say don't it is going to be so hot this summer and she will have a hard time pulling it back. Wait until it cools off then she will even have more hair to donate!

I agree with misty. I think thick hair looks so bad short. let it grow a little more then when she wants to cut it it will still be long and look good.

I say Dont you dare cut it! But my girls don't have any hair and we envy long hair. I know it is hard to handle and it is so hot so let it be her decision. Richie is the same way about long hair, I wanna cut mine!! Can't wait to see you all sometime. Love ya.

McKenna has decided to go ahead and cut it as of yesterday anyways and even with cutting 10 inches off she will still have about 10-11 inch long hair which will be shoulder length and still able to pull it back & all of that stuff. It has just gotten so hard to take care of...tangles and more tangles and she's having a hard time taking care of it and doesn't enjoy getting it combed or curled etc. I'll post pictures!
