So we were really poor growing up but I'm not sure if that really mattered or not maybe back in the day everyone made donuts out of those can biscuits you buy in the refrigerated isle of the grocery store. All I know is I had gotten a ton of them with coupon sense for 39 cents a can and they are expiring this month so last night I was making taco's and thought I should fry up some tortillas and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on them for a dessert which I did. While doing that I had another great idea....make donuts with those biscuits like my Mom use to make. So I did and wow they were as good as I remembered when I was a kid! :o) Not pretty but very good, cheap and easy! Everyone loved them so much I made some more tonight. :o)
If you are what you eat, then I'm fast, cheap and easy! ha ha (I made a vinyl sign for my sister that says that since practically everytime I call her she is ordering take out at a drive thru...hee hee....Love ya Brandy!!) But add sweet because we've gotta have our sugar and she really is sweet!

Never had them, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't WANT to! They look great. I'm anxious to hear all about the great ward shake-up!
Yep, we learned to make those in Jr. High in Home economics.
That was big tradition on my family to!! We loved it when my mom busted out the biscuits to fry. We all fought over the dough nut wholes. The only difference is my mom dipped them in an icing glaze she made out of powdered sugar and water. I did the same thing you did a while back. Made them for my kids so they could experience something from my childhood.
Well, you know we made them :) Since our moms are sisters and all. We actually had them quite often growing up and I made them a couple of times when I was first married. I'll have to make them for my kids too...I had forgotten all about them.
Hey Leslie, this is one of my family's favs!! My kids love them. And yes, I ate these as a kid. Steven wouldn't give me a straight answer on whether he ate them or not.
Nope never had them! Not sure about Russ though... They look yummy!
