Then I decided she needed a picture of Christ in her room so I found one of my frames that I had also in the garage and painted it black and then took white over the top and washed part of it off. The other frame on the outside was light pink and blended in with the wall so I was thinking I would paint it solid black but decided that I liked the pink showing through. This frame is new and has a cute matte and slots for a picture of her every month up to one year old.
Baby Sophia can't come home from the hospital without a head band so I decided to make a few that match some of her tiny little outfits of which I still don't know which she will wear home. :o) I guess it really depends on how big she is....but they were fun and I'll be making a lot more. It's been so long since I made any I almost forgot how. :o) I can't wait to dress her up!!! :o)
After working all day and doing crafts all night in a sitting position this is what I got.....a bunch of swelling....mostly in my ankles but it was my calves, feet and toes. I think my skin was stretched as far as it could possibly be stretched and felt like they would pop. I get some swelling daily but this was the worst to date. This swelling didn't happen with the other two kids...probably due to my advance maternal age. ha ha
When I went to the doctor this afternoon she told me that no matter what I was going on full bed rest to avoid a rupture again and that I should go straight to the hospital if the contractions are within 10 minutes for more than an hour. I convinced her to start my bed rest on Monday, January 25th so I could finish up some lose ends tomorrow at work.
I also found out today that although my doctor is on call at Chandler Regional Hospital on Feb. 1st and will be delivering babies there all day that the hospital has over booked her with c-section deliveries and unless someone goes early or cancels I will be delivering at Banner Gateway Hospital which is about 20 more miles away from Chandler which was 23 miles away from me already and with a totally different doctor! My doctor Dr. Carrion can only schedule c-sections when she is on call and so I would have to wait too many days for her to do it otherwise. So unless I go early and on a day she is on call she won't delivery baby Sophia dang it. Dr. Baum is the doctor that is scheduled to do it if Dr. Carrion can't and from what I hear she is really nice and good. I like that she got her bachelors degree from BYU also. :o)
(Me last Sunday 1-17-2010 can't tell how big my belly really is)
We are almost done with the nursery and it is looking so darling! I can't wait to hang everything up on the walls and put the finishing touches on then I'll blog about it. SO EXCITED!!!

Leslie, You are the most beautiful pregnant woman I have ever seen. I love all the stuff you have been doing. I have your gift, I'll have to bring it over and I have some yummy brownies I'll bring over too.
You're going to LOVE Banner Gateway. That's where I delivered and I don't have a single complaint.
Cute crafts, cute nursery, cute pregnant lady...man, you're making it look so easy! And you're working full-time!! And have complications!! I suppose we can all aspire.
I think the nursery is very cute! I'm very excited for you!
You look beautiful, and your crafts turned out way cute! Bummer about the swelling. I never swelled with Kaden. But after I had Kate, I got post-partum preeclampsia and I got SO swollen that I got stretch marks on my calves! :-o Luckily they went away though.
All of your crafts are very cute. I'm very happy for you. Congratulations. Can't wait to see her too.
my ankles were like that for every pregnancy! I feel for you. Les, you better listen to your doctor and stay in bed!!! You hear me!? Good luck. I love you!!
