Isn't she pretty! Thanks Pops for taking all of these beautiful pictures
Brandy and her girls came Wednesday, April 7th and stayed until Monday, April 12th it was so awesome to be able to hang out with her and just chit chat etc. The girls are so cute and had a blast playing with the kids. They loved the play set outside. It was so funny every time Kyah came in she had sand in her pants pulling them down showing us her crack and then asked Brandy for some assistance getting it out. Twice it was almost a full cup of sand...talk about uncomfortable! :o) We ended up taking the kids out of school early on Friday to pick up Mom & Jim from the airport, went out to eat at every one's favorite Mexican food joint and then Brandy took the kids to see "How to train your Dragon" and they all loved it!
3 Generations
4 Generations with just Brandy & her girls
Cute Cousins! Mandy and her kiddos Keenan, Kortni and Bella came Saturday and then took McKenna with them to their hotel to stay the night. Kortni has been dying to see Sophia and she held her and carried her all around it was so cute! They had fun swimming and going to Olive Garden for dinner. It was great seeing Mandy we just love her & Richie & their kids!!! We missed the other family members that weren't able to make it due to tragedy but appreciate them wanting to come.
Brandy, Kyah and Adia
This was Saturday right before Calvin's baptism all of the kids were ready to go so Pops snapped a few pictures. Calvin was so excited he could hardly stand it. Adia was also very excited because she turns 8 in May and will get baptized! Calvin personally called everyone that participated to ask them to participate...Grammy Sherri McDaniel to give the opening prayer which terrified her, he originally wanted her to talk but we told him that would make her too nervous, McKenna as the pianist, Kathy Amador as the chorister, Tomas Amador as the baptism speaker, Aunt Brandy to give the Holy Ghost talk, Dad to baptize him and he asked Uncle Bulldog to confirm him but he couldn't come so he wanted Little Grandpa Mike Wright to confirm him and then Mimi Maggie Prouty to say closing prayer. He wanted lots more to participate including Adia, Pops, Aunt Julie and Uncle Toma. My contribution was the program but he didn't ask me to do it as a matter of fact he didn't ask me to do anything but that's ok. :o)
Best Sisters McKenna is the best big sister ever!!
Cutie pies ready to go to the church for the baptism. It was great! McKenna was our pianist and wow we were so proud of her! I thought she'd back out when were told we were in the main part of the church. I thought we would be in the Primary or Relief Society Room but we weren't...that's a little intimidating or at least I would think to be up on stage infront of everyone when she's never done this before. She had lessons for a few months a couple of years ago and has taught herself so many songs out of the hymn book. When I asked Calvin who he wanted for the pianist he immediately said Kenna and she immediately agreed. Overall she did a great job! It did break my heart when she lost her place and put her hands on her head for a brief moment and began to cry but quickly got right back on track with all of us singers and stopped the tears. Poor sweetie didn't give up and we kept giving her the thumbs up signs as she carried on. One day Calvin will realize how special that was of his big sister because it sure wasn't easy playing all three songs for that many people on an unfamiliar piano.
My Parents came in Friday at noon and with all of the festivities still managed to look at homes as they are in the market for their new retirement home here in AZ. They found the house they loved and it happens to be just down the street from us unfortunately their offer wasn't accepted and they are in backup position on it so we are praying the deal falls through so they get it.
