Temples....Toe nails and kids......
Here's a picture of the beautiful new LDS Temple that McKenna got to go in today. It's the open house for it so anyone can go in without the usual Temple recommend that is required after the Temple has been dedicated to the Lord as a sacred house of worship. The open house period lasts for a few weeks.
A night shot of the Temple that I borrowed from my cousin Rachel's blog. Rachel lives there along with 3 other cousins of mine. :o) They will dedicate the Temple next weekend and then no one without a recommend will be allowed to enter so it's a neat opportunity for everyone. McKenna said it was the prettiest church she has ever seen and we had a nice chat about it. She told me of how beautiful everything was and that so many things were made with gold and the beautiful diamond chandelier. I had to break it to her that it's not diamonds it is crystals but very expensive beautiful crystals. She loved every bit of it! She had a blast with the girls and came home hyper and full. :o)
While she was gone today not only did I pull the weeds in the front yard but I also took the time to polish mine and Sophie's nails. I did Sophie's toes and fingernails this hot pink. So cute! Of course McKenna and Calvin loved it...Dad on the other hand didn't say much. :o)
Buddies
Jacob and Calvin tonight. They were pretty much together all day long and over at Uncle Toma's house. I have admit that when Calvin first started hanging out with Jacob I wasn't to happy about it as Calvin tended to not behave very well afterwards. I told Calvin if he didn't start being a good example to Jacob that he wouldn't be allowed to play with him anymore. I know harsh words. Calvin started gradually behaving a little better and so did Jacob. Jacob's Mom told us what a good kid Calvin was so we continued to let them play almost on a daily basis. A few weeks later to my surprise Calvin was sharing gospel principals with Jacob and they were having a deep religious conversation two 8 year olds. :o) A few more weeks have past and Jacob has gone to church with us 3 times and loves it! Loves it so much that his Mom is even going to come this weekend due to her son and also a good neighbor Liz Orton who asked her to go this Sunday with them....so awesome and here I was going to not allow them to play together. Silly me!
I'm so thankful for the gospel in my life and for the opportunity to see it work in my children's lives. Today was great! Our oldest daughter had a fabulous day on her first ever Temple trip with the Young Womens. Calvin has set a great example to his friend and has brought religion into their lives and who knows maybe one day they might even choose to be members of the LDS faith yes we are Christians. :o) Sophia and I had great bonding time today and so did Will and I. Beautiful Beautiful day!

Your baby is growing SO fast! She is adorable!
I'm glad McKenna got to see the temple. Yesterday was the last day of the open house. The chandelier in the Celestial room is really beautiful! It does look a litt like diamonds :) In the bridal bathroom they have a light fixture that looks like a long, gold crown.
Love your pics and post! Those are some CUTE kidos!
