Our Star...

Our little super star McKenna isn't so little these days...sadly she's 5ft 6inches already at 12 years old. This was a red carpet even for the Young Women's Night in Excellence so they were instructed to dress and look red carpet ready with ladies doing hair and makeup for them like they were celebrities. The finished product...included a basketball, basketball pictures, her scriptures, her green with white stripe karate belt, her 4-h hankie, her barbie ballerina book, her 3rd place white ribbon for Pinal county fair that she won for the displayed pink apron she sewed. We were surprised she didn't bring Bunny the stuffed animal bunny rabbit that she has had for 13 years and still sleeps with nightly. :o) She had just walked down the red carpet and was greeted by paparazzi, Shannon Williams a wonderful photographer in our ward. The girls had to work it and get two pictures there. :o) Kenna was a great sport and struck a pose, as most girls almost frowned or slumped like they were miserably embarrassed. (I don't blame them I would have been embarrassed also) :o)

After the red carpet and award were handed out the leaders had them stand behind their tables so all of them and us could walk around and ask them questions etc.

McKenna is such a beautiful girl inside and out! She constantly amazes us and we are so very blessed to have her as our daughter, she truly is our super star!
