My sweet Grandma is an amazing lady always has been and always will be to me! She is the best Grandma ever! Every single one of her grand kids which there are 50 and over 70 great grand kids and 5 great greats as of Oct. 11, 2011 think that they are secretly her favorite! She is 81 years old and looks absolutely amazing! This is her natural hair she doesn't color it!!! I hope I follow suit.
She has always been very strong physically and mentally, just amazing but since she had a stroke about 2 years ago she has progressively lost her voice and her strength and can barely talk or stand or walk now. It is just heart breaking to see her like this. She barely eats or drinks so she doesn't have to get up to use the facilities because she doesn't like having to be helped. I can't say I blame her but it's just heart breaking. Walter her husband sure tries to help her but he has issues with his leg and is 82 years old so he can't help her like he would like to think he can.
Her eyes when you look into them you can see that they have changed even in the past two months from normal happy pretty eyes to scared, fading and almost hopeless eyes. That's the only way I can describe it...it's just heart breaking. I'm worried that if she continues this way she won't be around much longer. :o(

I know it's hard especially when we are a ways away from her. Thanks Robyn! Today they told her she likely needs hip replacement and social services are getting involved. So sad. She's my most favorite lady with the exception of my Mom.
