Oh if only I could remember half of the funny things my kids say I would be laughing all of the time! Here's one though...the other day I was in the laundry room and I hear
Sophia "ummmm ummmmmmm ummmmmm! these are delicious!"
I come out to see her sitting on the island counter with a box of girl scout cookies, one in each hand and one in her mouth.
Me "what are you doing?"
Sophia says nothing and puts her hand up like to stop me from coming any closer to her as her mouth is full.
Me again "what are you doing?"
Sophia "I Sofa Wright from ah Copa" with a big chocolate smile!
Cracked me up!!! So of course I let her eat another cookie. Little turkey!
We've been working on her last name but had no idea that Will was working with her on where she lives!!! lol

I screwed it all up and now I'm going to bed!!!
Silly blog you shouldn't take so long to update and for me to change my background and since I'm telling you off....STOP changing the sizes of my pictures!!! I wish my facebook would magically update my blog and I wish that there was a blog app to make updating from my phone nice and easy. I guess I need a tutorial on how to blog these days, if you don't do it for awhile it's all different. boo hoo hoo
So Calvin & McKenna both got their first hunting license on Valentines Day!! Will was so proud! Sophie just wanted in on the action :o)
Side note: Kenna will be 14 in May, Calvin turns 10 in less than 30 days and Sophie just turned 2 this month!! Crazy how fast they grow I wish I could keep them small forever and ever!!!

Happy New Year!!!
Well here we are in 2012 already! Gosh time flies whether you are having fun or just busy with life. :o) We had a good 2011 and hoping for an even better 2012.
One of my goals this year is to keep my blog more up to date as I consider it my family journal. I like facebook but I'd rather blog and have my photos and memories where I can print them out. Combining old techniques with modern technology; I can write daily in my personal journal, keep a blog as my family journal and keep in touch with friends and family daily via facebook on my pc or cell phone! It's great!
Upward and onward in 2012! Hope it's great for all of us!!!

Before and After
Before
This beautiful desert hand painted picture depicts the Superstition, Red and Four Peaks Mountains. It is over 60 years old she didn't date it if you can believe it! It's huge approximately 5 feet by 10 feet!!! My Great Great Grandma Harriet Webb who was a great artist with many talents and painting was only one of them. She lived in Mesa and this was her view from her house. She gave it as a wedding gift to her son Tony who married Vera to my understanding. The frame Uncle Tony made was green and tan in color. I inherited this about 6 years ago from my Mom who got it from Uncle Tony Webb because none of his children wanted it after he passed away and Aunt Vera moved in with their daughter. Tony was brother to my Great Grandma Ruth Webb Crandell.
After
I taped it all off and painted it black. The pictures aren't as clear as I would like them to be. We all think it looks much better. I tried sanding it and we agreed it looked better more finished but I'm wondering if I should try and antique it with an ivory paint....any thoughts?
Anyways I'm so grateful to have this family heirloom in my home and appreciate it's majestic beauty.
