Going Gray

Chloe is going Gray! It's funny to see how quickly
she is changing color.
This little girl is getting bigger everyday!
3.4 pounds as of yesterday
at 14 weeks old

But she's so dang cute I'll guess I'll keep her
no matter how many pounds she gets up to.
Her official name is Chloe Gray Bit and I think
she is growing into it now!

Last Weekend

So not yesterday but the week before the kids were both showering and usually Calvin showers in our bathroom and Kenna in theirs but this particular night they swapped. Well after listening to Calvin sing every song that popped into his cute little head for about 40 minutes I told McKenna to go and tell him to get out. She did he said OK and continued to sing etc. A few minutes later McKenna walked into the dining room saying I didn't know it was raining outside and we said it isn't and then she said there's a leak! So I went running thinking it was the washing machine because I was doing laundry on a Sunday wouldn't surprise me if something like that happened but nope it was the ceiling leaking. I put a pot under it and told McKenna to get some towels and then I ran upstairs and Calvin was still singing his heart out and I open the door, open the shower curtain and turn the water off. He was embarrassed and frightened. He had been showering the entire time with the shower curtain on the outside of the tub leaking water all over the place! He showers so often in our master bath where it's an enclosed shower with a door that he didn't know you needed to have the shower curtain liner tucked inside the tub! Needless to say here's the damage which was minimal....

And here's the singing shower boy who caused the whole mess! :o)

He's growing his hair out and can finally comb it down. All nice and clean after a 50 minute shower! Turkey

Will & Chloe never moved from this spot.

Our little tiny teacup Yorkie eats non-stop no more teacups for her!

Dad telling Calvin to tuck the shower curtain in the tub next time.

McKenna asking Calvin if he wanted to grow his hair out as long as hers like he was crazy!

Calvin replying telling her no not that long.

I just want to grow it out longer like the famous boys hair! What's wrong with that?
Now for the I'm sorry about the water leak Mom let me rub your feet....

'Cuz when I grow up I'm going to be a massage therapist, a Vet, an artist and rich so he'll start practicing massages now.

Dad telling them about Big Foot. :o)

Or was it a fish story????

Those eyes....those lips....

True LOVE I love this picture! Chloe's eyes are so cute and look at those nice full plump lips on Kenna! Both pretty in pink on Kenna's bed Sunday after church. (McKenna is such a pretty girl and one of these days she's going to realize how perfect her lips are.) :o) She loves this puppy so much. When she was 3 years old we lived in Utah and had gone to visit my friend and old college roommate Anissa when she was at her Mom's in Orem. Anissa's Mom had two little dogs that McKenna adored and played with the entire time. Well every night after that visit in her nightly prayers, in her food blessings she would pray for a black puppy named Bebe. (Bebe was one of Anissa's Mom's dogs) It was so heartfelt and cute that Will finally caved in and bought a little mini Schnauzer that she named Bebe. We had Bebe until Calvin was a few weeks old because she got so jealous that she began snapping at him and once snapped at his face when I was holding him so we had to sell her. It was heartwrenching for Kenna, although she was extremely rough with Bebe she loved her so much and cried and cried the day we took Bebe and didn't return home with her. We sold her to a really nice old couple that had recently had to put theirs down due to old age so she went to a great home. She still has a picture of Bebe in her room to this day so you can imagine the love she has 6 years later to finally have another dog but a BLACK PUPPY...even better. :o) Calvin loves her too but it's just cute that Kenna finally has her black puppy. :O)

Shamrock Farms Fieldtrip...
A couple of weeks ago I got to take 6 hours off of work one day and go with Calvin & the 1st graders to Shamrock Farms which is about 15 minutes from here. Calvin loved riding for the fourth time on a school bus. They have it all set up for tours and it is really neat! We rode a tram all around the dairy went in the observation room to see them milking 200 cows at once and feel the metal tubes of the warm milk and then the cold milk as they cool it within 5 seconds and keep it 34 degrees or less. We learned that this female farm only allows cows who are 2 years old and have had at least one calf to produce milk. We saw all of the pregnant cows who were kept separate. We saw the cows that just had babies also kept separate and then we saw the babies. The boys are shipped off and although there are over 10,000 cows on the farm only 90 of them are bulls! By the way we didn't see them and they were kept far away from all of the girls. The only smelly place where where they put all of the manure to turn into compose/fertilizer. It was the cleanest and best smelling farm I've ever seen! We even got to see where the organic cows live out in the pasture. They had a cute playground for the kids to play at...all sorts of cute stuff....bottles of sour cream punching bags, cottage cheese slides, bottle of milk that was stairs to some other slides, a milk truck, an ice cream maze and of course a milk simulator & cows you could climb up on and ride. After we trammed around the farm, played on the equipment, named & fed a baby cow we went to the big red barn where Roxy the Cow was showering but we sat and ate lunch and the farm provided us all chocolate milk and then ice cream sandwiches or ice cream Popsicles for dessert. YUMMY! I had a blast and so did the first graders!
Calvin & classmates driving the milk truck.

I wasn't mad....

This is what you get when you take your own picture!

See how close the tram took us to the cows.
Mrs. Jenkins right in front of the milk truck she is a great teacher!

Isn't this a cool playground?

Cute Calvin on the tram up close

Calvin & his girlfriends Maritza & Ariana

He LOVES Maritza loves her :o) He tells us that he thinks she is the one that he will marry because they have so many things in common...this kid is 6 what is he thinking? He definitely has a preference for dark hair and brown eyes but all of them are totally sweet! The girls actually argued over who could sit by him there were 3 of them and Mrs. Jenkins said that he has many girls follow him around. It's got to be his charm always complimenting the girls on their clothes & hair etc. she says. :o) Anyways we had a great time at the farm and I think we'll go back as a family with friends. http://www.shamrockfarmstour.com/

Moving on.....McKenna & Chloe today Sunday 2-15-09

Mr. Bedhead sitting in Kenna's room chair today. Gotta love it when kids have their own idea on what hair looks good and be patient enough to let them grow it out even with a cowlick right upfront. :o) No it wasn't from Shamrock Farms.

So today Calvin had a little bit of a fever, sore throat and headache...said he didn't feel good enough to go to church so he and I stayed home. We had his favorite for breakfast maple & brown sugar Malt0meal and then we gave Chloe a bath.
She had him laughing in no time!
Her right after a bath & blow dry...fluffy!
Chloe a few days ago ringing her bell to go outside
Please let me go outside....I rang the bell.
A quick update on Chloe she weights 2.6 lbs now and eats all of the time little piggy! She is getting better at potty training and tries to bark and growl every now and then which cracks us up. She still takes lots of naps and is 12 weeks old now we hope she doesn't get over 5 lbs as they usually double their weight at this age and because she always wants to eat she probably will. I was hoping she would be 3-4 lbs because her Mom is just under 5 lbs and her Dad was right around 2.5 lbs. She doesn't like bows in her hair but we are trying to encourage her to like them. :o) Her hair is starting to turn the gray color which they call blue for some reason mostly on the top of her head. The kids love her to death and want to carry her everywhere. We did have a little mishap the first week we had her when a friend was over and accidentally dropped her outside but she was ok. We are training her to ring a bell to go outside and at this point I think she just likes attacking the bell but she has rang it a couple of times and then gone outside and went potty. YEAH!! We still all love her and think she is very adorable. We fluff her all up and make her smell pretty too! Just like the little princess pooch she is.
Back to our Sunday....McKenna & Will returned home from church and poor McKenna is either getting a cold or her allergies are terrible today. You can see in the pictures her eyes are all red she has the sniffles too. On her bed with the puppy. My two pretty in pink princesses!Dad sleeping on the couch. Sunday naps are the best! I decided to blog while Will was napping and the kids were in my office drawing on the dry erase board. Chloe doing her part delivering the eraser when needed.

And there you have it our Sunday and everybody is happy! Especially me since I've missed blogging so much and was able to today! I'm on facebook but I guess it hasn't excited me as much as blogging. I'm still new at it. We are also very excited that we don't have work or school tomorrow! YIPPEE

Valentines Cookies

Thursday as soon as I got home from work the kids were ready to make some sugar cookies for their class parties the next day at school. I thought oh no problem McKenna does this all of the time with the Betty Crocker mixes....but we didn't have any. Because I've never made sugar cookies and frosting for them from scratch I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. Wow I was so wrong....that is a lot of fun messy work! :O) The kids had fun decorating up until it was time for bed and came down stairs the next morning so amazed that the rest of them were baked, frosted, decorated and packaged for them already to take to school. We made big ones for McKenna's class and little ones for Calvin's class. I even took some to work the next day and we have some for today Valentines! :o)
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!

Going Crazy.....

It's almost midnight and I'm holding a sleeping puppy adding a post to my blog. Why so late you say when I have to get up for work early tomorrow morning....it's the ONLY time I have to do it. I love to blog and want to do it everyday...but have simply been too busy. I could go on and on about everything I've been doing and complain about working etc but even I don't want to hear it. I do have one quick good thing to say and that is that I finally got my Christmas tree's & all of my decor put away...only a month and 9 days later than I usually take them down and if you know me...you know that I've been bugged by that for a month and 8 days too long. Too too crazy busy. :o)

I do hope that I get some time this weekend to update and post some pictures etc. :o) Off to sleep am I.
